           One of the best bands in NYC for years now, if you can imagine a cross between the Pixies and Talking Heads you'd get Stellastarr*. This was my 7th show and they get better every time. They played songs from their upcoming new album under a decoy name (the Ligers). The band was polished and professional as always and the new tunes were excellent.     The was the best Hong Kong set I've seen so far. The band was really tight and the crowd was diggin it.  When I heard Spoon was doing a free in-store performance I almost couldn’t believe it – it seemed to good to be true. I went anyway thinking they’d do three or four songs then take off. Fortunately I was wrong - this was by far the best in-store performance I've ever seen. Spoon played a full set and just killed from beginning to end.
