The best set yet from the mysterious Man Man. The band gave a tight, ferocious performance for the packed Delancey crowd. The sound seems to be shifting slightly from the Mothers of Invention vibe of the first album to a more cabaret jazz / soulful direction. Either way, Man Man is the most unique and creative band to emerge from Philly since the Roots. Seems like it’s only a matter of time before they blow up (or blow something up).
