This performance was miles away from the nervous looking band I caught at the Mercury Lounge a few years ago. Crisscrossing the globe & playing shows all over has really paid off for UK Brit-Pop phenoms Razorlight as the Johnny Borrell & co. were in full headliner mode playing a set that sounded more like a greatest hits collection than a promo show for their sophomore album (the self titled Razorlight). The sold out crowd at Bowery Ballroom was heavily British & loving the bands’ radio friendly Brit-Pop waving beers in the air, screaming & bouncing along throughout the set getting particularly hyped for hits like "Golden Touch" & “In the Morning”. Hopefully the break up rumors swirling around Razorlight aren't true because the band’s clearly got a ton of potential to do even bigger things if they can hold on.
Set List (from NME.com):
'In The Morning'
'Hold On'
'Golden Touch'
'Back To The Start'
'Don't Go Back To Dalston'
'Pop Song 2006'
'LA Waltz'
'Before I Fall To Pieces'
'Can't Stop This Feeling I've Got'
'Somewhere Else'
'America'
'Kirby's House'
'Vice'
'Who Needs Love?'
'In The City'
'Fall, Fall, Fall'
'Stumble And Fall'
