Cordless Records Will Digitally Distribute Goes Cube 's EP Beckon The Dagger God
Fresh off a cross-country tour, a video premiere (of "Goes Cube Song 30") on Stereogum, and a nearly sold-out homecoming show at the Mercury Lounge, Brooklyn-base d trio, Goes Cube, has signed an exclusive agreement with Cordless Records, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group. The label will digitally distribute Goes Cube's EP, Beckon The Dagger God, which recently climbe d to #8 on the Insound top-seller list....read more!
Originally released as a limited edition EP to support their tour, Beckon The Dagger God, has been exciting critics across the country. The Pittsburgh City Paper sai d the EP is "a provocative blend of Sonic Youth artiness and Slayeresque fury," where "double-bass drums colli de with impossibly ballsy guitars and disarming chor d structures." Similarly, the San Diego Union Tribune's Liner Notes said Goes Cube is "unpretentious but aggressive hardcore" an d Beckon The Dagger God "broke my car stereo; perhaps because it was so aggressive? Who knows? I'm genuinely pisse d, though. Way to stick it to the critic, Goes Cube."
Goes Cube is celebrating their new relationship with Cordless Records with a just-announced show this Thursday (4/26) with The Constantines at the Luna Lounge in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Goes Cube performs at 7:30pm."
