The Death Set were just pure fire from the moment they hit the stage, transforming the crowd into a sea of crowd surfers and stage divers resting only to shout along with the band's addictive punk party anthems.
Musical Hookers with hearts of gold, guest DJs Best Fwends emerged from behind the turntables to whip the crowd into a frenzy with a lightning quick set of their genre defying party anthems.
I'm running out of ways to say how excellent this band is but for anyone into hard rock laced with bluesy soul the Heartless Bastards are among the very best live & not to be missed.
couldn't be there and wow she looks different...don't really care that she is a brunette now, does look more like the album cover, but just as long as she still croons and crackles.
FWYB Contributor Angry Citizen was in the house for another set of pure fire from Wu-Tang MC Ghostface Killah. You can check out more coverage of the night's action on his music blog AngryCitizen.org.
Illinois has been consistently impressive each time I've checked them out and judging by the growing crowds at their shows the word's getting out. Highly recommended for fans of adventurous, rootsy indie rock.
Still flying surprisingly under the Radar, ex Acid Bath and Deadboy & the Elephantmen frontman Dax Riggs is one of the most talented vocalists and prolific songwriters in all of indie rock. Going into this show I'd heard Deadboy & the Elephantmen had broken up so I was expecting a solo acoustic set but Dax had a full band with him which actually had a fuller sound than the gigs I caught with the Deadboy lineup. Judging by the tracks on the band’s myspace their new album "We Sing of Only Blood or Love" should be a good pick for fans of intense gothic, blues soaked rock.
