After an unwanted & unexpected extended vacation my leg is finally feeling better, so I'm getting back to FWYB business. First up for me tonight will be the Adult Swim party at Santos Party House. Last time I saw Andrew WK he was opening for Joan Jett at Warsaw in Brooklyn and his super high energy shout along Rock stole the show. Plus you can't beat the price (free) so if tonight's even half as much fun... Look out!
It's a Monday, but this could turn out to be the best of the weekend - plus according to the Department of Eagles myspace, this is their first show as a full band.

Once again everyone’s making their lists for the annual CMJ indie music marathon here in NYC coming up next week. If you’ve already sprung for a badge it’s worth it since there’s tons of excellent badges only shows going on (some good resources are the CMJ site and Oh My Rockness). But if for whatever reason you don’t have a badge, no worries - there’s still plenty of action to take in with no passes required!
This FWYB posting will be listing all of the CMJ related showcases, parties and after parties that come in over the next few weeks that are either Free or less than $10. We’ll be doing updates throughout the Fest so bookmark this page & keep checking as it will be updated multiple times daily with new info! And feel free to post in the comments or email. anything going on we may have overlooked.

Good luck everybody & have fun. One piece of advice: It's better to find a solid line-up where you can chill & enjoy the music with a cool drink instead of constantly having to bounce from spot to spot.
Oh, this is lookin' like the perfect jump-off for CMJ week... The National are always great live but when you factor in Pela (who are excellent), and the possibility of free Jameson - Don't miss this! And show up early because the line'll probably be huge.
