The Lions or Rome roared into R&R with an expanded line-up (the trio has become fivesome) and a handful of explosive new tunes.

The new sound relies less on the laptop-electro, outsider vibe of the first album opting instead for more danceable power-funk. Ringleader Alan Astor worked the room with his unique blend of magnetic energy and soaring vocals while the tight shredding of new guitarist Jesse Lauter added the perfect flourishes to the bouncy tunes like "Lions Overpowered" & "Power After Hours". The packed crowd of hipsters, fashionistas and college kids was definitely getting the message as head bobbing & dancing broke out all over the room.
