Easily living up to their reputation as one of Indie music's best & most consistent bands Spoon treated the packed crowd at the Bowery Ballroom to a set rich with classics & a few new selections from their upcoming album (rumored to be titled "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga").
Retaining the band's trademark warm, percussive instrumentation, new songs such as "Don't Make Me a Target" & "Rhythm and Soul" fit in nicely with Spoon's wealth of top quality older material and seemed more in line with the rhythm driven sounds of their "Girls Can Tell" era tunes than the layered atmospherics & stream of consciousness vocals ("Beast & Dragon Adored", "They Never got You") of their most recent album LP "Gimme Fiction".
