Well, as I predicted, this show was ridiculously fun. One listen to the Swedish supergroup the Teddybears most recent LP (the genre smashing Soft Machine) and it's pretty clear when the big Brown heads are in the building the party is on. From the moment the Teddybears crew hit the stage at Hiro the packed dancefloor erupted into a sea of smiling faces, and bobbing heads, singing along with party anthems like "Punk Rocker", "Cobrastyle", and "Little Stereo". Highly recommended for lovers of big beat, reggae, rock or just fun party music in general.

NYC party rockers Professor Murder tore it up last Thursday night with a fiery set of jerky rhythmo-punk (trademark!) tunes off their excellent debut "Professor Murder Rides the Subway". It was a fun scene overall - the crowd was pretty rambunctious and really got into the show in a room that looked eerily similar to the Japanese club at the end of the first "Kill Bill" movie. If you're in the mood to dance & into classic post-punk (like Can for example), or any of the newer dance-rockers check out Professor Murder soon.

I know alot of people hate on these guys but the price is right. I was at their first US show back in '03 and I can only imagine they've gotten better since then. Looks like Cingular is throwing the party.

Due to technical dificulties these shots didn't come out so well, but the show was awesome. Metric pretty much blew away the other bands that were playing.

The singer's got energy and a good voice but all the songs sounded pretty much the same and any band with a guitarist wearing an "El Douche" T-Shirt needs to take it back to the lab.
