Chicago’s Detachment Kit absolutely whop ass every time I see them. Mixing together elements of punk, & grunge the band creates a unique, intense sound that stands out in the current sea of post-punkers. After a few songs singer Iam Menard upped the danger level a bit, and brought the show front & center to the crowd - pouncing down off the stage with the mike stand in hand and setting up right in the middle of the first few rows of cheering partier as the rest of the group continued to shred away on the stage. Do not miss these guys when they’re in your area.
